Violet June Kline

Violet June Kline, 85, North Manchester, Indiana, and formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 28, 2020 at Majestic Care of West Allen, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Violet was born on June 30, 1935 in Laketon, Indiana, to Ray L. and Opal F. (Simpson) Kline. She was one of sixteen children.

After graduating from GCS High School, Anderson, Indiana, Violet went on to graduate from St. Joe School of Nursing, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Beginning in 1961, Violet started working for St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana, in surgery. She retired in 2006 after forty-five years of service. Violet also taught classes to surgery technicians during her time at St. Joseph Medical Center.

Violet applied the skills she learned to her family as their caregiver and often made sure they walked the straight and narrow. She was a beautiful, loving person who made hats and donated them to children for many years. She was always willing to help make this world a better place. Violet was also an accomplished seamstress and cake decorator.

The loving memory of Violet June Kline will be forever cherished by her brothers, Bennett Kline, Andrews, Indiana, Kenneth (Ethel Mae) Kline, Milton, Kentucky, and Edward Kline, North Manchester, Indiana; sisters, Ruby Utter, Peru, Indiana, Pearl (Jerry) Davis, Russellville, Arkansas, and Dorothy (Wayne) Leighan, Madison, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. Violet was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Henry, Paul, Homer, Ray, and George Kline; sisters, Anna and Elenore Kline, Martha Krantzman, and Mary Blow.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Laketon Cemetery, County Roads 200 West and 950 North, Laketon, Indiana.
